One of the things I love most about working in the Calgary wedding industry is collaboration. I love meeting talented new vendors and working together to make our businesses and the industry itself better. Whether its supporting new events, like The Bash YYC, or attending inspirational workshops, making new connections and learning from others is just plain fun.
Enjoy these inspirational images from last week's Open Trunk workshop featuring ...Read More

Mykal & Chris opted to have a small, intimate wedding day on a private acreage just outside of Edmonton. The weather was perfect (aside from a few mosquitoes!) - the sun was shining, everyone stayed cool in the shade, and a cute lemonade stand gave the decor the perfect finishing touch. The guys were looking particularly dapper with the bow ties and suspenders and the girls showcased gorgeous long purple dresses.
In addition to the family portraits, Mykal & Chris also chose ....Read More
Jenni & Kevin were married on a beautiful July day, which this year means it rained! Thankfully the rain held off long enough for some gorgeous family portraits and all the wedding party formals, before monsooning on us during the bride & groom formals. I love the lace details and quiet moments from this lovely wedding last summer with Red Bloom Photography. Jeff & Lindsey chose to have an intimate ceremony at Quarry Lake Park with only a few of their closest friends and family in attendance followed by a champagne toast. Lindsey's gorgeous cathedral veil and white bouquet were the perfect compliment to the mountain backdrop.Read More

Anyone who lives in Alberta knows that fall normally lasts for approximately two minutes. Two beautiful, golden, minutes. Being so close to the Rocky Mountains, we wanted to play with an outdoorsy theme and really take advantage of the gorgeous autumn colours. Splashes of plaid combined with rustic décor (courtesy of Cellar Door Vintage Rentals) felt at home in this setting. We added pops of turquoise to create a bold contrast against the warm shades found in nature and even had pies (courtesy of Pies Plus) instead of a traditional wedding cake to help set the tone.
We absolutely fell in love with the red tandem bike from Cellar Door Vintage Rentals! It set the perfect romantic and quirky tone. A DIY Popcorn Bar, mini donuts, caramel apples, a Scotch Bar, and spiced apple cider completed the theme with all the best fall favourites.
Andrea and Rob's wedding was held on a gorgeous sunny day in one of the loveliest locations I have ever had the privildge to be in. Tacansina Ranch is a hidden gem of a venue tucked away just an hour from Calgary in the foothills west of Cochrane near Ghost Lake.Read More
Their wedding day could not have been more perfect. The weather was amazing, not a cloud in the sky and the decor for their outdoor ceremony was amazing!
It was obvious that a lot of thought and attention to detail had gone into the planning, everything from drinks and fans for the guests to lawn games and amazing food - not to mention the gorgeous arch for the ceremony.
Congratulations you two!! Thank you for choosing us to be part of your day!
Vancouver Island is one of the most lovely places for weddings. I fell in love with the concept of mixing vintage lace with the natural romance of the coastline. The pale pink mixes perfectly with the grey rocks at the incomparable Neck Point Park in the central island area.Read More
